COLTAN BLOODY PHONE
Coltan is amazing it's also extremely dangerous if you live in an area where it's mined. It's a blood mineral fueling conflict in Rwanda and the Congo. It's used in loads of electronic devices like your phone, laptop and playstation because it has this amazing ability to hold and move electrical signals, and has conductive ability in extreme temperatures. People die to get it out of the ground, they die to own it and what's more the magnificent Grauer’s gorilla will become the first great ape to be driven to extinction – a victim of war, human greed and high technology if we don't do something about the way it's being consumed (Bornfree report).
